Junior Colleges Castillian has been a prominent part of the Alberton skyline since April 1997. With our Castle-like building and towers that can be seen from the R59. We are proud to fall under the wing of the Junior Colleges Brand, a division of the ADvTECH group.

Our aim at Junior Colleges is to foster and motivate learning within a caring, nurturing, and productive environment. The children in our school are given many opportunities to learn through a variety of activities that are aimed to encourage school readiness, confidence, and emotional intelligence. We cater for children between the ages of 3 months to Grade 0 and provide hands-on-learning and development opportunities, through concrete and practical activities.

We understand the importance of education to ensure a solid foundation and focus on different learning areas through holistic lessons, through our different curriculum depending on the age of the child. Our Babies and Toddlers follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum which involves sensory focused learning, play, and discovery with individual attention. Our babies benefit from Baby Gym, baby massages, and other age-appropriate activities.

Our Grade 0000 to 0 follow the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (ISASA) curriculum which includes a weekly Digital Literacy lesson, Second-Additional Language as well as the Time2Read programme, just to name a few.

Our school has a staff complement of 25 members and each of our staff strive to uphold the culture of excellence at the school. The staff of Castillian are all first-aid trained, qualified, and passionate. Our playgrounds are well equipped to encourage gross motor development, through organised play. Our goal is to inspire young children to become curious to explore and discover their environment by providing them with exciting opportunities.

We provide all meals. From a warm nutritious porridge to a healthy home-cooked lunch and all snacks. Our food is prepared by our full-time, on-site cook and our menu is planned to ensure that the children receive a nutritionally balanced meal.
